In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai is one of the seven emirates.
Dubai is a city known for its luxurious lifestyle, attractive tourist spots and vibrant culture. With its stunning architecture, diverse culture, and exciting activities, Dubai is a city unlike any other. It is the perfect destination for anyone looking for an unforgettable vacation. After Abu Dhabi, Dubai is the second-largest city in the UAE,
and it is a prime example of modern-day Middle Eastern architecture and culture. It is a city of glitz and glamour, offering amazing experiences for travelers of all kinds. HH Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Prime Minister and the Vice President of the whole country and the ruler of Dubai.
Their official language is Arabic.
The Sheikh has held this position since 2006 and has worked to transform Dubai into a global hub for business and tourism. He has also worked to create a business-friendly environment in the emirate, with a focus on innovation and technology. He has also made significant investments in infrastructure and public services. An Emirati citizen is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates. The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, each with its own ruler. The term "Emirati" comes from the word "emir," which means "commander" or "prince." The rate of exchange is determined by the UAE Central Bank and is established as a fixed rate. This rate is periodically reviewed and adjusted in order to maintain the peg to the US Dollar. As per the current rate, one dirham is equivalent to a somewhat 19.5 Indian Rupees. Many hotels will also exchange money, albeit at a slightly higher rate than the banks or bureaus. It is best to carry cash in the local currency while traveling in the UAE. Credit cards are widely accepted in the country, however, there may be a surcharge added to the bill. Tourists can exchange currency at these airports too. Exchange desks are located at the Arrivals section of the airport. It is advisable to check the rates prior to exchanging money to ensure you get the best rate. ATMs are also available at the airport. Local ATMs also accept international cards. Shopping malls, hotels, and supermarkets will accept credit cards with a minimum purchase amount of AED 100. Dubai International Airportis the busiest airport in the world and has a wide range of currency exchange services. Money exchange desks are available in both the Arrivals and Departures areas. Travelers can also use ATM machines to withdraw cash. Dubai’s eclectic neighborhoods like Bur Dubai and Karama
offer great shopping opportunities and an array of dining experiences. There are also many attractions in the city such as the iconic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. Unlike India, the weekend in Dubai falls on Fridays and Saturdays.
This gives people the opportunity to explore the city during the weekend and enjoy the many attractions. Moreover, Dubai has a vibrant nightlife with many restaurants and bars that remain open late into the night.
CULTURE & CUSTOMS
Culture and customs in the United Arab Emirates are a combination of traditional and modern values. The UAE is known for its hospitality, generosity, and openness to different cultures, religions, and beliefs.
Dubai is a part of the Islamic nation means its culture, customs and traditions are deeply entrenched in its religious roots. Despite its conservative culture, it’s a liberal Arabian metropolis that respects and (of course) welcomes diverse world cultures and traditions wholeheartedly.
And as for the language and other aspects, Indians will find it easy to communicate and navigate the city, with the majority of the ex-pat community bring people from different parts of India.
